Dagesh | Exhibition opening in Augsburg: “Transitions. Jewish Perspectives on the Present”

On 25 January, the temporary exhibition ‘Transitions. Jewish Perspectives on the Present’ was opened at the Jewish Museum Augsburg Swabia. The exhibition, a collaboration between Dagesh – Jewish Art in Context and the Jewish Museum Augsburg Swabia, highlights different artistic positions on current developments and discourses. Represented in the exhibition are a variety of mediums, ranging from videos, to photography, to sound installations by international Jewish artists. The exhibition was initially show in Berlin in 2021 by Dagesh as part of “Transitions – Festival of Jewish Contemporary Arts”. The exhibition has now been newly curated by Daniel Laufer especially for the Jewish Museum Augsburg Swabia. The exhibition can be visited in Augsburg through 30 June 2024 and offers an interesting programme of events; for example, a Dagesh on Tour workshop will be held in June, 2024 in cooperation with the Jewish Museum Augsburg Swabia and the Kulturhaus Abraxas.
