CPPD | Retrospect: Workshop „Networking Meet-Up on Plural Remembrance Culture“

The workshop ‘Networking Meet-Up on Plural Remembrance Culture’ took place on 10 November 2023 in the Brunnenpassage, Labor transkultureller Kunst in Vienna. The event was a collaboration of the Brunnenpassage with the Schauspielhaus Wien and the Coalition for Pluralistic Public Discourse (CPPD).

As a working conference, it facilitated exchange among people who are engaged with forms of plural remembrance in a professional context within the fields of journalism, art, academics, social work, and activism. Following an introduction and presentation of the actors represented, table discussions took place covering four topic areas: ‘Art and cultural events’, ‘Educational work and institutions’, ‘Public remembrance – urban space and social media’, and ‘Discourse in academia and the media’.

The networking meet-up was moderated by Hannan Salamat from the CPPD network. Elisabeth Bernroitner and Zuzana Ernst (Brunnenpassage) as well as Nina Prader (Lady Liberty Press, CPPD) and Tobias Herzberg (Schauspielhaus Wien, CPPD) served as hosts. We would like to thank all those involved for this successful networking meet-up and for the collaboration on a plural culture of remembrance!
